Speak from somewhere real
Say what you know, how you know it, and where your view may be limited. First-hand experience, evidence, and honest uncertainty all belong here.
Disagree without diminishing
Challenge the claim, not the person. Productive disagreement makes distinctions clearer; humiliation and point-scoring only make the room smaller.
Protect the quality of attention
Harassment, manipulation, spam, and deliberate disruption are not welcome. Relevance and care matter more than volume or popularity.
Leave a useful trace
Aim to add a detail, source, question, or distinction that someone else can build on. The room should be more navigable after you have spoken.
